Coaching, Mentoring, Consultant

Coaching is a method of directing, instructing and training a person or group of people, with the aim to achieve some goal or develop specific skills.

Mentoring refers to a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps a less experienced or less knowledgeable person.

A consultant is a professional who provides professional or expert advice in a particular area of expertise.

What is the difference between a coach, mentor and consultant?

A coach does not necessarily have the experience and/or expertise in the specific area in question however has the skills to get the most out of the client.

A mentor will have more experience than the client in that specific area

A consultant will be an expert in that specific area.

Why do I need a coach or mentor?

They can usually see things that you usually can’t especially when you’re caught up in the game.

A good coach or mentor is someone who also cares, can offer perspective, ideas, and strategies, will ensure that you do the fundamentals and is committed to your success and your results.

They will also be non judgmental, unbiased, professional and emotionally detached from the challenges and goals and be able to provide valuable knowledge and experience especially when they have assisted other people with similar challenges.

They will also;

  • Support you throughout the process 
  • Hold you accountable to your commitments 
  • Help your clearly identify and define your goals 
  • Assist you in becoming resourceful 
  • Help you define strategies and solutions to overcome challenges and obstacles 
  • Motivate you to make and maintain the necessary changes 

Do successful people have coaches and mentors?

Absolutely... You have probably heard of that Question on “Why would a professional golfer have a swing coach”? The answer is “because he cannot see himself swing!”

You will also see many athletes and sports people having mentors which have been past champions in their sport.

Coaching and Mentoring brings out the best in people. People tend to be at their best when they act from their real identity and beliefs and leverage their X-Factor. A good coach/mentor has the ability to get people to that place of accessing the resources within and empower them to move towards what they really want.

What Can I expect when when working with Success INC?

  1.  (Pre-Session) – You will need to complete a couple of questionnaires which will help us understand your history prior to the session and what outcomes you want out of the session. This will allow us to be more productive in the session 
  2. Agree on the outcomes for the session. 
  3. We will work with you using a variety of tools and techniques
  4. Explore Strategies and solutions for achieving the agreed outcomes
  5. Map out the plan for implementing any changes into your life and how we will monitor and track them. 
  6. Only if required, we will schedule another session. 

There are a number of ways that we interact with you, this includes

  • In Person (Face to Face and One on One) 
  • Telephone Skype, Google Talk 
  • Instant messaging 
  • Group Workshops (Face to Face / One to Many) 

We use a number of tools and techniques including Neuro Linguistic Programming.

We have also developed some of our own tools which assist us in getting great results for our clients.

Finally, we also use strategies that we have experience with and that we have achieved great results from.

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming?

Neuro Linguistic Programming was created by John Grinder and Richard Bandler in the 1970’s and there are many definitions floating around however below provide the best sources for the definition;

NLP is an attitude and a methodology leaving behind a trail of techniques.”

With  attitude being ‘CURIOSITY’ and the methodology being ‘BEHAVIOR MODELING.” (Richard Bandler, Co-Founder of NLP)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an approach to change based on “a model of interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationship between successful patterns of behavior and the subjective experiences (esp. patterns of thought) underlying them” and “a system of alternative therapy based on this which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behavior “

Absolutely…. we take privacy seriously and all information and sessions are strictly confidential.

How do I know if I am ready for coaching?

If you feel that you’re ready and committed to make positive changes in your life and want to work with a coach on this then yes, you are ready!

When can I expect to see results?

Some of our clients see results after the 1st session, whilst others take a longer. It all depends on what we are working on and each person’s ability to progress!
